Mountain Dwellings – Two Worlds under One Roof
Mountain Dwellings in Copenhagen were designed by architectural practice Bjarke Ingels Group. The building has the shape of right-angled pyramid. It combines two independent projects: parking garage containing 480 parking spots, and 80 apartments cascaded over the diagonal roof. The semitransparent facades of the parking space above railway are covered with photorealistic mural of Himalayan peaks. Each penthouse has terrace clad with untreated wood from which opens the view towards the low private cottages. That way the calm relaxing atmosphere and the illusion of being far from the highways are creating.
GEOFIP team supports the modern ideas on space optimization and offers the wear-resistant paintable coatings for long-term protection of parking flooring against mechanical, chemical and weather factors.
